Flea Treatment for Baby Pups

This post has some advice about what to do for flea control on a baby puppy. If I were you, I would avoid the citrus shampoos and essential oils - they are unproven and probably ineffective. If you need to get rid of fleas in a young dog, try Frontline Spray - it can be used safely from 2 days of age. They do have some good advice about cleaning though:

Treating and repelling fleas on your puppy will be ineffective if you do not eliminate the pests from your home. A vacuum is effective for removing eggs and larvae from carpet. Be sure to throw away the vacuum bag once you have finished. Launder all bedding and linens in areas where the puppy has had access. These steps will keep your puppy from being reinfected after treatment.
